Whoever said chocolate wasn’t good for the human body obviously never washed themselves with it. Now through the end of July, the Bathhouse inside THEhotel at Mandalay Bay is offering four yummy chocolate treatments that won’t add inches to your waistline: the Better Than Chocolate Sugar Scrub (50 minutes, $145), the Decadent Chocolate Manicure and/or Pedicure (25-minute manicure, $60; 50-minute pedicure, $110) and the Chocolate Soufflé Facial (50 minutes, $170). Although each one is as heavenly as it sounds tasty, if you only have time to treat yourself to one service, we recommend the Better Than Chocolate Sugar Scrub.

From the moment you enter the treatment room, the chocolate aroma will leave your taste buds salivating for some of the sweet stuff. You’ll be asked to lay down on the treatment table, where a masseuse will scrub your legs, feet, arms, shoulders, back and stomach (if you so desire) with a yummy chocolate scrub that looks a bit like mashed up Nestlé Crunch bars. While you may be tempted to grab a piece of chocolate that’s flaked off your body and eat it, try to remember that tiny bikini you’re trying to squeeze into before the summer’s up. Once you’ve been scrubbed down from head to toe, you’ll be asked to walk into a shower (conveniently located inside the treatment room) to wash off while the masseuse changes the linens on the massage table. When you’re done, your skin will be left looking and feeling radiant and new—not to mention ready to show off at the pool!

The cherry on top of the treatment (or the creamy caramel center, depending on how you want to look at it) is the brief but relaxing massage after you step out of the shower, where the masseuse will gently apply a hydrating cocoa butter balm to your skin that soothes away all your tensions. Although the massage may be quick, it definitely works wonders!

Follow your treatment with a visit to one of the Bathhouse’s two eucalyptus steam rooms (which the masseuse recommends after the massage because of the “Crisco-like” cocoa butter balm), or check out its other lavish amenities; from spacious hot and warm whirlpools to a cold plunge and a redwood sauna, the Bathhouse truly has it all. In fact, it easily ranks among Las Vegas’ top spa experiences, so be sure to set aside some time to pamper yourself properly. You wouldn’t want to rush through dessert, so why hurry through something equally as sweet?
